St. Benedict Joseph Labre, you gave up honor, money and home for love of Jesus.

Help us to set our hearts on Jesus and not on the things of this world.

You lived in obscurity among the poor in the streets.

Enable us to see Jesus in our poor brothers and sisters and not judge by appearances.

Make us realize that in helping them we are helping Jesus.

Show us how to befriend them and not pass them by.

St. Benedict Joseph Labre, you had a great love for prayer.

Obtain for us the grace of persevering prayer, especially adoration of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Saint Benedict Joseph, beloved by God, guide us, fellow travelers on this earth, along your pilgrim path to God, protect us from all temptations of desire and arrogance, so that we may embrace humility in the presence of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, and be welcomed into His eternal kingdom.

Compassionate Jesus, who, through the life of Your servant Benedict Joseph, demonstrated Your love for the least of this world, grant us, we pray, the blessings that the Holy Beggar petitions on our behalf, knowing that he seeks only what will lead us to You, through Your example of Holy Poverty on earth and Your Divine Work. Amen!

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
