O glorious Saint Jerome, devoted servant of God and lover of Sacred Scripture, you gave your life to studying, translating, and defending the Word of God. You pursued holiness with great zeal and bore every hardship for the sake of truth.

I come to you humbly, asking for your powerful intercession before our Lord Jesus Christ. As you spent your days immersed in prayer and the wisdom of God’s Word, help me to grow in love for Holy Scripture and to seek God’s truth in all things.

Saint Jerome, you were not afraid of difficulty, criticism, or hardship in your service to the Church. Obtain for me the courage to remain faithful, the wisdom to discern God’s will, and the perseverance to follow it.

Pray that I may one day join you and all the saints in eternal life, where we will praise God forever.
