God of mercy, look with compassion upon all those who are now entrapped in addictions to drugs, alcohol, gambling, sins of the flesh, and other harmful behaviors and whom we have recommended to Thee through the intercession of St. Paul.

Mother of Mercy, obtain for us the grace never to withhold our love and understanding, and not to fail in persevering prayer, that the enslaving bonds of addiction may be broken and that full health and freedom may be restored to all for whom we pray.

Please bring people into their lives who will stand beside them, help them be accountable, and help them stay clean and free.

Mayest Thou restore their sense of self-worth, and may they find redemption and restoration in Thy Son Jesus.

Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and freedom.

Restore to them the assurance of Thy unfailing mercy, and strengthen them in the work of recovery and restoration.

To those who care for them, grant patient understanding and a love that perseveres.

We ask for healing in families torn apart by addiction.

We ask for protection for those family members who are in harm’s way because of their loved one’s addictions.

Please pour out Thy grace, mercy, and healing power on each person who has been affected by someone with an addiction.

We praise Thee and thank Thee, Lord, for the work Thou art doing and wilt do in the persons we pray for.

O St. Paul the Apostle, preacher of truth and Doctor of the Gentiles, intercede for those we pray for. Amen.
