Almighty God, our Creator and Guide,
You chose St. Aidan to establish a church at Ferns
and to preach the Good News of your son, Jesus Christ.
As we celebrate his feast,
we give thanks for his witness and teaching.
Through his intercession,
we pray that we remain true to the faith
which he brought to Ferns:
that we listen to the word of God;
following the teaching of our Holy Father;
and remain loyal to the tradition of our faith.
All-powerful Father, through the intercession of St. Aidan,
Pause here for the grace you are asking.
Pause here for your intention.
I ask these prayers through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.
Amen.
Saint Aidan of Ferns, Pray for us.
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
