Principal Prayer for Each Day

Pray this same prayer each day after the day's meditation.

O God, at the urging of whose love the Martyrs Saints Perpetua and Felicity defied their persecutors and overcame the torment of death, grant, we ask, by their prayers, that we may ever grow in Your love. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

V. You have crowned them with glory and honor, O Lord. R. And have set them over the works of Your hands.

Grant, we beseech You, O Lord our God, that we may venerate with unceasing devotion the triumphs of Your holy Martyrs, Perpetua and Felicity; and although we cannot pay them the honor that is their due, may we at least present to them our humble homage.

Pause here for the grace you are asking.

Amen.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Saints Perpetua and Felicity, pray for us!
