Prayer source
2026 arrangement of complete Douay-Rheims Scripture readings and a public-domain 1910 collect
The Raccolta, Ambrose St. John translation, 1910 edition (Burns & Oates/Benziger Brothers), no. 321, complete concluding collect, printed p. 291: https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Page:Theraccoltaorcol00unknuoft.djvu/311 . This reading uses the entire collect, not the preceding full responsory. The nine-day arrangement was made in 2026. The nine Scripture selections follow the references of the former St. Michael Center witness, using the public-domain Douay-Rheims Challoner English text. Mark 9:2-3 in the modern numbering corresponds to Douay-Rheims 9:1-2, and John 6:67-69 to 6:68-70; John 18:10 is included in full. The former modern prayer and litany are not represented as restored.

16. And passing by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother, casting nets into the sea (for they were fishermen).
17. And Jesus said to them: Come after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
18. And immediately leaving their nets, they followed him.
Prayer through St. Peter
O Lord, we beseech Thee, raise us up by the Apostolic might of blessed Peter, thy Apostle; that, the weaker we are in ourselves, the more powerful may be the assistance whereby we are strengthened through his intercession; that thus, ever fortified by the protection of thy Apostle, we may neither yield to sin nor be overwhelmed by adversity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
