O God, You gladden us by the annual feast of Blessed Alexius, Your Confessor; mercifully grant that we may imitate his example, whose heavenly birthday we celebrate. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Saint Alexius, you who now reside in Heaven, kindly put a good word to Our Heavenly Father for me. Please pray for me and obtain for me the favor that I seek through your powerful intercession.
Pause here for the grace you are asking.
Heavenly Father, free me from needless anxiety and worry. Empty me of pride, awaken true humility in me, and help me to seek Your glory in all that I think or do. Through Jesus Christ, the Exemplar of humility. Amen.
