This complete general form replaces the former proper or thematic text; it does not supply that edition's missing readings, hymn or litany. Calendar verification: Angela of Foligno, current Franciscan proper. The Vatican historical account gives her January 4, 1309 death. The current Franciscan supplement identifies January 4 outside the USA and January 7 in the USA. December 30 is unsupported as a feast. The exact pre-1962 Franciscan proper remains unverified. She was then Blessed; her equipollent canonization occurred in 2013. Let us pray.
Preserve us, O Lord, we beseech thee, from all dangers of body and soul: and by the intercession of glorious and blessed Mary, the ever Virgin Mother of God, of the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, of blessed Angela of Foligno and of all thy Saints, grant us, in thy mercy, health and peace; that all adversities and errors being removed, thy Church may serve thee with a pure and undisturbed devotion. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
