Principal Prayer for Each Day

Pray this same prayer each day after the day's meditation.

O God, You adorned blessed Francis, the founder of a new Order, with a zeal for prayer and a love of penance. Grant that Your servants may make such progress in the imitation of his virtues that by constant prayer and bringing their bodies into subjection they may deserve to attain heavenly glory. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

O God, You have manifested Your love in the priest St. Francis Caracciolo by making him an adorer of the Eucharist, a preacher of Your divine love, and an apostle to the poor, the sick, and sinners. Grant, we implore You, that we may imitate his love for Jesus in the Eucharist and spare no effort to work for the salvation of our brothers and sisters.

Through the intercession of St. Francis, we ask You to inspire many young men and women to follow Christ totally in the spirit of prayer, penance, and zeal for the building of Your Kingdom here on earth.

O my powerful intercessor near God, Saint Francis Caracciolo, obtain for me the grace I seek.

Pause here for your need.

Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
