O Gennaro, brave in faith in Jesus Christ, glorious patron of Catholic Naples, look upon us benignly and accept our vows, that today we lay at your feet with total confidence in your powerful patronage.
How many times have you run to help your fellow citizens, now stopping the path of destructive lava, now saving from plague, earthquakes, famine, and many other punishments that terrify us. The perpetual miracle of the liquefaction of your blood is a sure and eloquent sign that you live among us, that you know our needs, and that you protect us in a singular way.
O we pray you to pray for us, sure that we will be answered and saved from all the evils that oppress us from all directions.

Save us from unbelief, and you will see that the faith by which you generously sacrificed your life always produces fertile fruits of saints among us. Amen.
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
