A companion to prayer

The Franciscan Crown is a rosary of seven decades in honor of the Seven Joys of Our Lady. Announce each Joy before its decade, and reflect prayerfully on that mystery while praying. The readings and companion notes are optional aids to meditation.

Sources and arrangement

The prayer order follows the Manual of the Third Order of St. Francis of Assisi (1869), pages 305 to 307. The common prayers follow Father F. X. Lasance’s With God (1911). Scripture readings use the Douay-Rheims Bible. Explanatory notes are distinguished from the traditional prayers. This private devotional compilation carries no ecclesiastical imprimatur.
